Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova demands that the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatiana Moskalkova, conduct a full medical examination and provide appropriate treatment to Zekirya Muratov, a Crimean citizen illegally detained in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case.

The Ukrainian ombudsman wrote about this on Facebook.

Denisova emphasizes that Zekirya Muraratov has not received medical care since his arrest, and he has not been provided with a medical expert commission to continue the disability group.

In the Military Court of Appeal of Vlasikha, Moscow Region, Muratov's defense insisted on the impossibility of continuing the arrest and changing the measure of restraint for a political prisoner with a disability, severe musculoskeletal disorders, hypertension and angina. However, these arguments were not taken into account by the court. On June 8, the court refused to change the measure of restraint in the form of detention of a Ukrainian citizen Zekirya Muratov, detained in July 2020, who is being held in SIZO-1 in Rostov-on-Don.

"I emphasize that such actions are a direct violation of Article 3 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, paragraph 22 of the Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners, approved by the UN Economic and Social Councils ... I call on the international community to respond take possible measures to immediately stop the torture of Zekirya Muratov", - Denisova concluded.
