In the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the occupiers recorded 131 new cases of COVID-19

As of the morning of May 8, 104 new cases of COVID-19 were "officially" registered in the occupied Crimea, and 27 in Sevastopol. Five people died on the peninsula and 3 in Sevastopol.

It was announced by the occupying "head" of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov on Facebook.

It is noted, together with new cases, 4 - with an asymptomatic course of the disease.

Of the total number of patients, 86 were detected during medical treatment, 17 - among contacts in previously registered cases, 1 case was imported from abroad.

According to the occupation Ministry of Health of Crimea, 5 people died of coronavirus on the occupied peninsula in the past 24 hours, and 127 recovered.

According to the occupation government of Sevastopol, on the morning of May 8, 27 people fell ill with COVID-19.

The 40 people were discharged after recovery. Three people between the ages of 71 and 77 died.

What is known

  • A total of 41,273 COVID-19 cases have been officially registered in the occupied Crimea for the current period. 38,194 people recovered during the whole period, 1,252 died.
  • A total of 14,239 people became ill with coronavirus in occupied Sevastopol. Recovered for the entire period - 13 132, died - 643.
