Teimur Abdullayev, a participant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case in Simferopol, had his detention term extended until June 6.

His mother Dilyara Abdullayev and Alime Abdullayev's wife told about it, Crimean Solidarity reports.

"My son is kept in a cold dungeon in the mud, degrading his human dignity", - Abdullayeva's mother said.

According to Teimur Abdullayev's wife, he had a sore throat because he had to lie on the cold floor. In addition, Alime Abdullayeva said that her husband has problems with pressure.

"In the pre-trial detention centre, the bed is fastened to the wall and lowered only in the evening. He could not stand on his feet all day and lay down on the wet and cold floor", - Alime Abdullayeva said.

What is known

  • In December 2020, Teimur Abdullayev contracted COVID-19, after which he had sequelae.
  • In March 2020, the family learned that Abdullayev had been transferred to the PKU IC № 2 in the city of Salavat, UFSIN of Russia in Bashkortostan to serve his sentence. Immediately upon arrival at the colony, he was sent to a remand prison.
  • On the 18 of June 2019, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Rustem Ismailov to 14 years in prison, Ayder Saledinov and Emil Dzhemadenov to 12 years. Two more defendants in the criminal case, brothers Teymur and Uzeyir Abdullayev, were sentenced to 17 and 13 years, respectively. In December 2019, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation reduced the term of imprisonment for all by six months.
