In the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the occupiers recorded 123 new cases of COVID-19

As of the morning of May 1, 99 new COVID-19 cases were "officially" registered in the occupied Crimea, and 24 in Sevastopol. Five people died on the peninsula and 2 in Sevastopol.

It was announced by the occupying "head" of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov on Facebook.

It is noted, along with new cases, 5 - with an asymptomatic course of the disease.

Of the total number of patients, 68 were detected during medical treatment, 30 - among the contacts in previously registered cases, 1 case was imported from abroad.

According to the occupation Ministry of Health of Crimea, 5 people died of coronavirus on the occupied peninsula in the past 24 hours, and 148 recovered.

According to the occupation government of Sevastopol, as of the morning of May 1, 24 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded.

The 20 people were discharged after recovery. Two people, aged 63 and 68, died.

What is known

  • A total of 40,568 COVID-19 cases have been officially registered in the occupied Crimea for the current period. 37,669 people recovered during the whole period, 1,221 died.
  • A total of 14,088 people became ill with coronavirus in occupied Sevastopol. Recovered for the entire period - 12,941, died - 624.
  • Occupied Alushta fell into the "red zone" due to the growing incidence of COVID-19.
