Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar took part in an online event of the British think tank The Henry Jackson Society, where he presented the Crimean platform.

It was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The participants of the event talked about the challenges against the background of Russian aggression and the occupation of Crimea and Donbas, as well as ways to support Ukraine from foreign partners.

"During the discussion, special attention was paid to the issue of Russia's escalation of the security situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and in the temporarily occupied Crimea", - informed in the statement.

The Deputy Minister thanked the foreign partners and the Government of the United Kingdom for "clear signals of support for our country".

"Ukraine remains committed to a political and diplomatic settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict. At the same time, we will resolutely defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity in the event of a Russian offensive”, - Vasyl Bodnar stressed.

The Deputy Minister informed the participants of the event about the main activities of the Crimean Platform, including maintaining and strengthening international sanctions against Russia and mitigating the impact of the militarization of the occupied Crimea.
