Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags were restored in Obolon | Video
An action took place in Kyiv, during which the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags were restored on Obolonskaya Embankment.
One of organizers, Arsen Tartan, spoke about the purpose of the action.
"10 years ago we started celebrating the Crimean Tatar Flag Day in Crimea. The flag identifies our values today, when we must once again be strong and as united as possible with each other and with our friend - the Ukrainian people, whose flag has also passed the path of the forbidden symbol of freedom,"- Arsen said.
A total of UAH 52,606 was spent on the purchase of paint and materials by the organizers from voluntary donations for the action, information about which was published on Facebook. The rest of the funds were used to buy samsas, which were served to the participants of the action.
