The number of paramilitary classes on the peninsula has more than tripled, and the number of cadet classes in occupied Simferopol, which was 12 in 2016 and more than 40 in 2019.

It is stated in the study "Educational field in the temporarily occupied territories", prepared by the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union.

The system of formal and non-formal education in the occupied Crimea is aimed at forming a Russian identity in children.

The head of the service for reintegration and deoccupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea of the Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Olena Khalimon said that about 200,000 children in the occupied Crimea were involved in militaristic activities.

"About 200,000 children in Crimea are involved in such militaristic activities, which corresponds to the total number of schoolchildren on the peninsula. I would also like to note that in 2020 they adopted a new program for five years, worth 23 million US dollars to develop this "Unarmy". Therefore, we can imagine and imagine what will happen to children in the coming years", - Elena Halimon said.

According to Valentina Potapova, head of the Almenda Center for Civic Education, children from kindergartens wear military uniforms in the occupied territories.

"Children from kindergartens are put on military uniforms and given weapons, not just toys. We must immediately develop a mechanism for obtaining documents for complete basic secondary education. Because we are losing children who finish school in the occupation for 7 years", - Potapova said.
