Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya considers occupied Crimea and Donbas Ukrainian. But Tikhanovskaya is evasive about Russia’s crimes. According to her, “it was not the Russian Federation that committed the crime, but the people".

She stated this in an interview with Gordon.

“This is Ukraine. It’s all obvious. In the beginning, the phrase de jure, de facto was said, but now we understand that by law our president has lost, but in fact, he keeps power. Probably the situation has become clearer. And there is no need to veil anything”, -Tikhanovskaya said.

However, the Belarusian oppositionist gave an ambiguous answer to the question about Russia's crimes.

"It was not Russia that committed this crime, but people. If they committed this crime, then there should be an investigation and a trial. We cannot issue any accusations. I believe Russia made a mistake, ruining relations between Russians and Ukrainians", - she said.
