A bluebird appeared on the social network Twitter next to the name of the account of the Russian Foreign Ministry branch in occupied Simferopol, which means that the account is genuine and verified. Usually, such a sign is added to the pages of official institutions or stars. Because of this, a flash mob began with the hashtags #TwitterSupportsTerrorism and #CrimeaIsUkraine - users oppose the verification of the account of the occupying power.

Canadian journalist and blogger Michael MacKay pointed this out on Twitter.

"Twitter gave a verified blue checkmark to the Russian invaders of Ukraine. Putin's occupation regime in Ukrainian Crimea has "official" prestige. This enables war crimes and crimes against humanity", - the man wrote.

Many Twitter bloggers have started urging other users to put the hashtags #TwitterSupportsTerrorism and #CrimeaIsUkraine in trend.

"We are in trend! The war against Twitter continues!", - writes blogger @banderivkacarol.
