The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) calls on Russia to immediately comply with the demands of the international community for its actions in eastern Ukraine, as well as for its occupied Crimea.

This is stated in the resolution on the results of 2020, adopted on January 25.

"The Russian Federation: to address several issues immediately, including the lack of pluralism, the independence of the judiciary, the restrictive environment for political extra-parliamentary opposition, civil society, human rights activists and journalists, restrictions on freedom of expression, assembly, association and religion, and some problematic laws, including the Law on Foreign Agents, the Law on Undesirable Organizations or Anti-Extremist Law; to comply with the requirements of the international community regarding eastern Ukraine, Crimea, the occupied Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia and the Transnistrian region of Moldova", - the resolution says.
