In February 2020, Oleksiy Honcharenko, a People's Deputy from European Solidarity, wrote a deputy appeal to the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service, asking for official information on the absence of a ban on entry to Ukraine for eight Russian artists.

It was reported by journalists "Schemes: corruption in detail".

It is noted that Goncharenko petitioned for Joseph Reichelhaus - the founder and artistic director of the "Moscow Theater" School of Modern Play, a native of Odessa.

"He has never supported the annexation of Crimea. I have great respect for him, helped organize a tour of his theatre earlier and I will be happy when the quarantine ends, I really want his theatre to come to Ukraine again," - said the people's deputy.

According to journalists, in addition to Reichelhaus, there are 7 other Russian artists on the list.

The People's Deputy also mentions the Russian actress Irina Alferova, who is currently on the "List of persons of the Ministry of Culture who pose a threat to national security." Russian actor Yuri Chernov, who starred in the film "Crimea" - which, according to Russian media, was filmed with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense. And another Russian artist, Marat Basharov, who visited Crimea after its annexation by Russia.

In this comment, Goncharenko said: "I ask the SSU and the State Border Guard Service whether these people were specifically spotted in anti-Ukrainian activities or not. If they were spotted, they have nothing to do in Ukraine. If they were not spotted in anti-Ukrainian activities, kindly please come and let's share the culture".

Alexei Goncharenko has responded to the investigation of "Schemes".

«In short, it is a manipulation. I asked the competent authorities "whether these people have been noticed in any anti-Ukrainian activities», and not «I not demand to let», as someone are trying to present it», - he stressed.
