The bridge across the Kerch Strait, which was illegally built by the occupiers in Crimea, may be destroyed by strong earthquakes because below it there is the boundary between two tectonic plates.

The Deputy Director of the Institute of Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Kendzer told this to the information site Crimea Realities.

According to the scientist, the earthquake, which was recently recorded in Anapa, confirms that there may be quite strong earthquakes in the region.

"Seismic surveys predict the situation in the event of earthquakes in places where there are houses and other objects, including the bridge connecting Crimea and Russia. There is a boundary between two tectonic plates. These plates can be shifted or moved to each other. As a result, there are quite strong earthquakes", - Kendzer said.
