In the suburbs of Simferopol in occupied Crimea on Sunday, November 29, a section of the Dubki-Levadki road began to collapse. The damage was found a few meters from the railway tunnel. The Russian occupation contractor Sibavtoban, which went bankrupt in early 2020 and did not complete construction, is to blame for the destruction of the road. On November 30, the occupying Krymavtodor began to repair the consequences of the collapse.

Local media reported this.

It is noted that 6.14 billion rubles (2.3 billion hryvnias) were allocated for the construction of the bypass road. The route was to decongest road traffic in the western suburbs of occupied Simferopol. Work began in 2017, traffic on the site was opened 2 years later. However, the road has not yet been commissioned because the occupying Sibavtoban has not completed its construction.

According to the occupation Ministry of Transport of Crimea, another contractor will repair the road.

At the same time, as the occupation minister of Transport of Crimea Yevgeny Isakov told the occupying media "Radio Crimea" on November 30, "employees" of Krymavtodor has begun to remove the consequences of the landslide. According to him, the sections to be repaired will be identified.

According to Stanislav Zabashtanov, a member of the occupation headquarters of the ZNF in Crimea, these problems may have arisen because the contractor disregarded the peculiarities of the Crimean soil.

This news caused a heated discussion on social networks. A barrage of discontent fell on the builders of the highway "Tavrida" - the occupation company WAD. However, as the "press secretary" of this company Grigory Nazarov noted, the section of the Dubki-Levadki road is a zone of responsibility of another contractor, and the collapse occurred at the junction of Sibavtoban asphalt and Tavrida asphalt.
