Ukraine will invite representatives of the Russian Federation to the Crimean summit
Ukraine will invite Russia to participate in the Crimean summit to discuss ways to de-occupation Crimea.
First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzheppar announced Euroactiv about this.
"If they (representatives of the Russian Federation - ed.) Come, we will be happy to ask them all the questions we have. Because Russia is responsible for the situation of human rights violations in Crimea. It would be a good opportunity to discuss how Russia can de-occupation Crimea. Miracles happen, and if they start to demonstrate a civilized position, we are ready to discuss such issues", - informed in the statement.
It is noted that the approximate date of the Crimean Summit is still being discussed, including on 21st of May, 2021.
Dzheppar noted that several countries have already expressed interest in joining the Crimean platform and participating in the summit, including Turkey, the United States and the Baltic states.
"It is important for us to find a new tool for the return of Crimea", - she said, expressing hope that the initiative would have the support of the European Union.
