Turkey supports Ukraine and does not recognize the occupation of Crimea

President Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey does not recognize Russia's occupation of Crimea.

He announced this at a press conference following talks with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Turkey has not recognized and does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea. Ukraine and I will continue to provide support to our Crimean Tatar brothers, who are an important element of the historical and humanitarian ties between our countries. Work is underway to build housing for our family, and a project to build a mosque in Kyiv is being implemented”, - the Turkish president said.
