Following Simferopol, the number of patients increased sharply in Alushta and Evpatoria. As on 13 of October, the 163 cases of coronavirus were registered in the occupied Crimea.

The occupying head of the Crimea Sergey Aksonov reports about it on the Facebook page.

"The 128 of them were found when seeking medical help, 35 - among the contacts in previously registered cases", - informed in the report.

Also at a meeting of the operational headquarters for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, the occupation head of the interregional department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Crimea and Sevastopol Natalia Penkovskaya, spoke about the difficult situation on the peninsula.

"The situation in Simferopol remains the most difficult. The increase in cases compared to last week - by 53. A serious increase in morbidity has begun in Alushta. Alushta is equal to Simferopol in terms of morbidity today. , The number of patients in Evpatoria increased 8 times", - she reported.

Also, the increase in morbidity was recorded several times in the occupied Kerch, Bakhchisarai, Dzhankoi and Kirov districts.

"The epidemic process, which today is characterized by instability and growth, confirms the spread of infection on the peninsula", - Penkovskaya said.

What is known

  • A total of 6,331 cases of coronavirus were registered during the pandemic in the occupied Crimea. 107 of them were brought from abroad, 128 cases were imported from the subjects of the Russian Federation and found in contact with them, 5227 cases were found in seeking medical care and in contact with persons with laboratory-confirmed results, 869 - in laboratory screening of healthy individuals.
