On September 25, Iryna Verigina, Representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in Crimea, discussed with Alexander Vinnikov, Head of the NATO Mission in Ukraine, and representatives of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis in Kherson Oblast the issue of oppression of the Crimean Tatar people by the occupying authorities and the problems faced by IDPs.

Verigina announced this on her Facebook page.

In particular, she stressed that due to the occupation of Crimea, Russia violated the Hague Convention of 1907, the IV Geneva Convention of 1949, the Memorandum of Security in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and other international legal acts.

Verigina noted that Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova constantly monitors human rights violations in occupied Crimea and calls on international human rights organizations to use all available levers of influence on Russia to "stop the terror against Ukrainian citizens".

What is known
