On Monday, September 28, in Kyiv, representatives of the Ukrainian community of Crimea will announce the resumption of the National Council of Ukrainians of Crimea and talk about discrimination against the Ukrainian community on the occupied peninsula.

This was reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform. This event will take place in the press center of the agency at 11:00.

According to the organizers, Ukrainian society in occupied Crimea has become the most discriminated ethnic minority due to Russian policy.

"To protect the rights of the Ukrainian community of Crimea, which is going through a difficult period due to discrimination against the occupying state, it was decided to revive the National Council of Ukrainians of Crimea in an updated format. Its goals, objectives, and forms of activity will be announced at a press conference", - the statement reads.

Among the conference participants: Andriy Ivanets, coordinator of the Tavriya Humanitarian Platform, Andriy Shchekun, member of the Board of the Crimean Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation "Ukrainian House", editor-in-chief of "the Crimean Svitlytsia" newspaper, Serhiy Mokrenyuk, chairman of "the Euromaidan-Crimea" NGO.
