104 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol

The quantity of coronavirus patients continues to grow on the occupied peninsula. Thus, as of the morning of September 24, 81 new cases of COVID-19 were officially registered in occupied Crimea, and 23 in Sevastopol.

This was announced by the occupation "chairman" Sergey Aksyonov on his Facebook page.

It is noted that 29 of them were found when seeking medical help, 34 - among contacts in previously registered cases, 17 - when screening a healthy population, 1 case - from Ukraine.

According to the occupation government of Sevastopol, as of the morning of September 24, 23 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the city. Patients are people aged 13 to 92, including 21 locals and two imported cases. Another 15 people were discharged after recovery.

What is known

  • A total of 4,553 COVID-19 cases have been officially registered in occupied Crimea for the current period. Of these, 97 cases - from abroad, 124 imported from Russia and detected in contact with them, 3,156 cases were detected in seeking medical care and in contact with persons with laboratory-confirmed results, 676 - in laboratory screening of healthy individuals. 2,561 people recovered during the whole period, 51 died, according to the occupation Ministry of Health of Crimea on September 22.
  • A total of 888 people have fallen ill with coronavirus in occupied Sevastopol since the beginning of the year.
  • At the moment there are 234 people in hospitals. Recovered - 583, died - 25.
