Ukrainian boxer from Crimea Oleksandr Usyk and British boxer Derek Chisora ​​will meet in the ring on October 31.

This was announced by the promotional company Matchroom Boxing.

"Ukrainian pound-for-pound star Oleksandr Usyk will finally face British favourite Derek Chisora on Saturday October 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN in the US, after their original May 23 date was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic", - said in a statement.  

What is known

  • The fight was to take place on May 23 at the "O2" arena in London, which would be the second fight of the Ukrainian in the super heavyweight division (from 90.7 kilograms).  The meeting was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Pound for pound is a term commonly used in boxing about a fighter who is considered the best regardless of the weight category. 
  •  Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 knockouts) moved to super heavyweight after dominating the first heavyweight.
