Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestling champion Lenur Temirov gave a press conference before his trip to the Olympic Games.

This was reported by the correspondent of the Suspilne Crimea.

The champion of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling Lenur Temirov stated that he is ready to win a gold medal.

"We are only setting up for victory, for a gold medal. Prepared well and feel good. I think everything will work out, God forbid", - Temirov said.

Lenur is currently preparing hard for competitions, training 3 times a day.

"I think he is in very good shape now and I expect a serious result from him. And as he will approach psychologically, as he will overcome ... but we will all be near, we will help him. We hope for a medal, to perform seriously. All the training was aimed at achieving the result, "said coach Lenura Temirova Ismet Saliev.

Refat Chubarov, Speaker of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis, Emine Dzheppar, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Ismail Ramazanov, a former political prisoner, came to support the athlete.

"It's no secret that we can't gather like it used to be in Crimea, but such a small space where everyone from Crimea communicates together, encouraging, inspiring. This is very important for our people", - Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar said.

The Speaker of the Mejlis said that he wanted the state flag of Ukraine to be raised as the flag of the winner.

"In the Crimea, when everyone was forced to build houses, settle down, like Ismet and his brother, they raised our children from an early age and Lenur was one of those who grew up in new settlements of the Crimean Tatars. We hope that they will come here and go to Crimea with this gold, thus once again reminding not only themselves but also the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation that Crimea is Ukraine. And such young people confirm it with their actions and achievements", - Chubarov said.
