"Walking in a circle" with this name was a performance at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyiv. This is the 58th event in support of victims of enforced disappearances in the occupied Crimea and their relatives as part of the FindandFree, Find and Release campaign.

According to the coordinator of the public organization Crimea SOS Denis Savchenko, their team goes to the embassy every month for 5 years.

"It may seem like walking around when we demand something and we are ignored. But this is not the case. Especially since we are not only going to the embassy, but as part of our actions, we have twice sent reports of enforced disappearances to the Kremlin to Vladimir Putin. Because he once stated at one of the press conferences that he does not know what is happening in the Crimea, and in general, everything is fine, and the Ukrainians are making some incomprehensible noise out of nowhere, "- Denis Savchenko.

According to Denis Savchenko, the main purpose of the performance is to attract the attention of as many people who are not indifferent to the problem of disappearances in Crimea.

"With this performance, we wanted to show when one person comes out, when one, two, three, four and so on joining him... And there are more of us, and attention to this problem also becomes much more, and therefore opportunities to somehow influence the situation is also getting worse”, - Denys Savchenko said.

Also, today is exactly 7 years since the disappearance of Crimean Tatar activist Timur Shaimardanov. According to Yevhen Yaroshenko, an analyst with the Crimean NGO SOS, the activist has been fighting Russian aggression since the beginning of the occupation of the Crimean semi-island.

"Timur Shaimardanov was a well-known pro-Ukrainian activist, from the first days of the Russian occupation he helped the Ukrainian military, went to pro-Ukrainian actions. And even after Russia had finally established its control over Crimea, he did not give up, he continued peaceful resistance. And he, along with SeyranZinetdinov and other pro-Ukrainian activists, organized an initiative called the Ukrainian People's House, and it is clear that such an initiative could not be left out, could not go unnoticed by the Crimean self-defence, the FSS, and other aggressive pro-Russian groups", - Yevhen Yaroshenko.

According to Yevhen Yaroshenko, Timur disappeared in the morning of May 26, 2014, when the man was going to pick up his son from school.

"Neither the Crimean nor the Russian law enforcement agencies were able, or rather, did not want to conduct an effective investigation and find Timur", - Yevhen Yaroshenko added.
