Suspilne launches “Ukrainian Radio. Crimea”. What is known
The new information project “Ukrainian Radio. Crimea” is available for residents of the occupied peninsula and residents of all over Ukraine. Five times a week, from Monday to Friday, from 7:10 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Kyiv time - you can listen to the radio. The video version will be available on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian Radio.

Ukrainian Radio producer Yulia Sheludko explained why the “Ukrainian Radio. Crimea” project is being launched.
“In fact, the key message is that Crimea is Ukraine. And we would like to talk more about Crimea because now the channels are different: private, entertaining, they talk, but it is not enough. We need to talk more about the problems of Crimea, about people who moved from Crimea to Ukraine and not only to Ukraine but also to other states. Thus, we will attract attention. It is very important now”, - she said.

From Monday to Thursday the programs will be in Ukrainian and on Friday there will be a Crimean Tatar show.
The programs will be informative, but they also will talk about history and culture.
“We had the idea to make the project Ukrainian Radio. Crimea for a long time. The idea was in the airstream for over a year, maybe even two years, but finally, we found such opportunities. Also, our TV team UA: Crimea will be very helpful to us. The Kherson branch will also take part and produce their own program, which will run on Mondays”, - Sheludko said.
Dmytro Khorkin, the general producer of Ukrainian Radio, told Suspilne Crimea why it was only now that they have separated the Crimean direction.

“We have a new producer, Rustam Avdiyev, and there is a talented team from Crimea on our Ukrainian Radio. Second, the 30th anniversary of Independence is marked by the fact that many different events related to Crimea are relevant at the state level”, - he said.
According to him, to single out the existing broadcasting with the brand “Ukrainian Radio. Crimea” was logical, because each regional direction is called like this: “Ukrainian Radio. Kherson”, “Ukrainian radio. Kharkiv” etc.
The general producer added that the programs aim at a wide range of listeners.
“We always call it programs for Crimea and about Crimea. It will be interesting for those who live in Crimea and who were forced to leave Crimea. It will be interesting for the entire country which is concerned about this issue”, - Khorkin added.
