Candidate for the position of rector of Tavriya National University named V.I. Vernadsky Mykola Koretsky filed a lawsuit against the illegal actions of the organizing committee and administration of the university.

"During this time, from September to March, the chairman of the organizing committee did not find a single opportunity to meet with all the candidates and discuss the possibilities of holding and organizing elections. It was a rude disregard on his part. As candidates, we asked the chairman of the organizing committee several times with a question and a request to provide us with voter lists”, - Koretsky said.

The candidate for the position of rector believes that the organizing committee was late in approving the voter lists.

"The organizing committee had to approve them. Unfortunately, as we learned from an article by one of the candidates, the voter lists were approved only on the 23rd of February this year. A list of 288 people without any identification was posted on 24 February. It is not clear whether they are teachers, students or university staff”, - Mykola Koretskyi said.

He stated that he would seek to suspend the elections, audit and remove the chairman of the organizing committee Igor Radomsky.

The head of the organizing committee of TNU Igor Radomsky states that he did not violate anything, and Koretsky himself did not appear at the meeting.

"Applicants could and had the right to apply, approach and talk. I did not deny this to anyone, all the meetings held by the organizing committee are collegial, ie I do not make individual decisions. In January, we held a meeting at which we considered one of Mr Koretsky's statements and we invited him - the warrior did not appear. In the future, we had a number of meetings at which the candidate for the position of rector Kazarin came and had the opportunity to express his point of view", - Radomsky said.

He adds that the election was called immediately after the publication of the voter lists.

"On the 23rd of February, the approved voter lists were published on the university's website. According to the regulations on the election of the rector, they are approved no later than 7 days before the election. By the order of the Ministry of Education, the elections were postponed from 16 of December to 3rd of March. Accordingly, on the 23rd of February, we complied with all the requirements for the approval of voter lists”, - Radomsky added.

Candidates for the position of TNU rector filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court of Ukraine. They demand the removal from the list of registration - the candidate for the position of rector - Vladimir Kazarin.

"In our opinion, Russian citizens who still have Russian passports and do not recognize it cannot be registered for the position of rector. Persons entered in the register of corrupt officials should not be registered, persons who fall under the law of the purification of power. The lawsuits filed with the court were accepted by the court, and this confirms that there are grounds for considering our claims”, - Mykola Koretskyi, a candidate for the position of rector of the Vernadsky University said.

Acting rector of TNU named by V.I. Vernadsky Volodymyr Kazarin accuses Mykola Koretsky of collaborating with Yanukovych's government and organizing an anti-Maidan rally.

"This is a man (Koretsky - ed.) Whom Yanukovych was going to appoint as Deputy Minister of Education after Tabachnyk's translation. This is a man who hates all our new Ukraine and us. For example, because we did not stay there with the newly discovered government. This is a man who organized an anti-Maidan rally in Rivne and sent children and teachers to Mariinsky Park by bus”, - Kazarin said.

Volodymyr Kazarin rejects his accusations of corruption by the NAPC.

If according to the register of corrupt officials, he (Koretsky - ed.) Probably hints at me that the NAPC included me there. We have previously filed a lawsuit in the Pechersk court. He dropped all these accusations, so I can safely say that all this is illegal", - Kazarin said.

As of today, in the register of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption - Volodymyr Kazarin is on the list of corrupt officials.

Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology of Social Work and Pedagogy of TNU named after V.I. Vernadsky Serhiy Belavin believes that the elections should be held within the established procedure.

"I believe that the elections should be held within the established procedure, if they were called for a certain term, then they should have been held within this period. In addition, the motivation for postponing the election is poorly substantiated", - Belavin said.

On 4 of March, the university's organizing committee asked the ministry to postpone the election to 6 of May this year. The ministry issued an order.

Lawyer Oleksiy Bebel believes that in order to give an unambiguous answer whether it was legal or illegal to postpone the election, you should see the documents.

"From a legal point of view, there will be a definition and a date, which is set last, for May, because the competition did not take place, but it should take place. In order to answer unequivocally whether it was legal or illegal to postpone these elections, it is necessary to see the documents on the basis of which the order of the Ministry of Education and Science was issued on the reasons why they are postponed. Unless it is proven in some way that some orders were issued illegally, not because the person simply made a mistake and accepted the order by making a mistake, but because it was done for some intentional purpose: corruption or some other purpose. Then a pre-trial investigation should be conducted", - the lawyer said.

Suspilne Crimea appealed to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with a request to provide an appeal to the staff and the organizing committee of TNU regarding the postponement of the rector's election.
