They tortured and demanded to plead guilty to the crime - Crimean Tatar Nariman Ametov told about the torture used by Russian security forces.

This was reported by Crimean Solidarity.

In the Old Crimea, on December 17, the FSB searched the home of a 33-year-old Crimean Tatar, a participant in the Crimean Solidarity movement, Nariman Ametov. Investigative actions took place in the case of the explosion of a gas pipeline that occurred in August in the Crimean village of Perevalne. Ametov was taken to the Crimean special services building and tortured with electricity during the day, confessing.

"The first discharge was painful, I endured and decided to hold on, but I realized that I would not last long, then - the second blow, then I got the third, after which my brain began to melt, I did not control anything. I shouted: everything, I will sit behind the device, to which I was told that now I do not solve it, and continued to strike electric shocks. I thought I would not get out of there", - Ametov said in a video message posted by the Crimean Solidarity NGO on Facebook.

Before the torture, he was told that he was suspected of involvement in the explosion of a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalne, Simferopol district, and demanded to tell about it on a polygraph.

Ametov replied that he was not ready to testify on the polygraph because he did not trust this device. After the torture, he was forced to undergo a polygraph, which showed that his suspicions were unfounded, and then the security forces forced Ametov to sign a document stating that he had no claims against them.

The activist claims that the torture took place in the basement, where there were five people, one of whom introduced himself as Maxim and said that he "came to the Crimea to put pressure on people like you".

"Some rags were tucked under my ear. I felt that the wires began to move there, I felt their movement on my face and realized that I would be electrocuted. Maxim asked if I had changed my mind. I insisted on a lawyer. He said, "Oh, lawyer?" And here was the first electric shock", - Nariman Ametov said.

According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, on the same day, December 17, criminal proceedings were instituted for illegal imprisonment of a resident of the occupied peninsula (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and violation of his home during an illegal search. occupation militiamen (part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code).
