Russian President Vladimir Putin once again illegally arrived in occupied Sevastopol. According to local occupation media, on November 4, he took part in events marking Russia's National Unity Day. The Russian president laid flowers at the memorial dedicated to the "end of the Russian Civil War." Due to Putin's arrival in the central part of Sevastopol and in the vicinity of Chersonesos, a police environment was set up, and patrol services were on duty at public transport stops and intersections.

Why did Putin visit the occupied Crimea, what he talked about and for whom, said the chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.

"Putin can't help but come to the temporarily occupied Crimea from time to time, because if Russia hadn't tried for 7 years, there would be no hint from the Kremlin that the peninsula would be completely annexed. Crimea is like a suitcase for the Russian president. but every year it gets harder and harder. I would like the international community to finally influence the return of its territory to Ukraine", - was explained by the chairman of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis.

Refat Chubarov pointed out that every visit of Putin to the Crimea is accompanied by a pronounced militarization of the peninsula:

"Once again, we have to state Putin's cynical and aggressive attacks on him in violation of international law, as well as the brutal repression and persecution, abductions and killings carried out by the punitive authorities of the Russian occupation authorities against the indigenous Crimean Tatar people", - Chubarov said.

While in Sevastopol, Putin took part in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus via video link, during which Alexander Lukashenko stated that he would like to visit Crimea: “Vladimir Vladimirovich promised me everything, he promised to take him to Crimea , will show the novelties, what is new there. A lot has been done. He will drive to the Crimea, but today one of them left and did not invite me with him. "The Russian president replied: " We will always be glad to see you".

Refat Chubarov explained why Lukashenko is in no hurry to recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea.

"After the last elections in Belarus, which are completely rigged, most countries do not recognize Lukashenko as president, so Putin is trying to actively use it. Surprisingly, Alexander Grigoryevich does not support Ukraine on the international arena, but does not vote for recognition Lukashenko understands that his arrival in Crimea will be the last straw before Russia captures Belarus. If he enters Crimea, Moscow will automatically capture Minsk".

The United States has called on Russia, as the occupying power, to grant access to Ukrainian Crimea to the Office of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM), as well as to independent international observers and the media.

Refat Chubarov emphasizes that words alone are not enough to support.

"We thank the United States for this position, but if it remains just a call, the process of forcing Russia's return to international law will never begin. Let us return to the Crimean platform, namely the thematic panel on indigenous rights. We will insist that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine not only hypothetically plan a visit to Crimea, but also carry out its plans. It is necessary not just to talk about it, but also to act", - Refat Chubarov said.

The Speaker of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis explained Putin's threats against US military equipment in the Black Sea. He said that this is a common manifestation of hysteria, because the Russian president understands the deep processes that could threaten him. He knows that he will not be able to find an understanding to further balance with Western partners and individual leaders.

"Nariman Dzhelyalov (First Deputy Speaker of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis, arrested in Crimea - ed.) - the most authoritative leader, despite his youth and his detention is a strong blow to the Crimean Tatar community. We have certain interactions that may positively affect the future of our comrades . Not only Nariman, but also other political prisoners", - Chubarov summed up.
