Lutfie Zudieva is 39 years old, she is a mother of four children and one of those who is not afraid to speak openly about the situation in Crimea.

Since childhood, Lutfie dreamed of becoming an educator. She received a pedagogical education. And in 2015 she opened a children's development center "Elif" in Dzhanka. However, the prosecutor's office and the FSS visited the center three months later, followed by a search.

"I do not rule out that there may have been complaints from the population, which is now stereotypical about Muslims and Crimean Tatars. Secondly, the reason could be my public activity”, - Lutfie Zudieva says.

Lutfie is currently cooperating with the Crimean Solidarity NGO. Covers on social networks lawsuits and mass searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars. She also supports the families of political prisoners. She remembers how in the spring of 2019 she was detained in the middle of the street.

“Facebook was formally detained for publishing. If I'm not mistaken, for 2013. But in fact, I see this detention as an act of pressure. That is, the human rights activists, the activism that I am engaged in now, obviously irritates the law enforcement officers to some extent. Annoying power. And this detention took place to press, to frighten. Because, as a rule, after such first detentions or after administrative cases, people leave the peninsula to protect themselves”.

Lutfie was charged with an administrative offense. And obliged to pay a fine of two thousand rubles. However, the girl believes that the case against her was not closed, but temporarily suspended.

“There is an unspoken algorithm of pressure on activists in Crimea. Initially, a light administrative article applies to them. This is either a few days of arrest or a fine. If an activist does not stop his activity, continues to engage and publicly express his position, then he is affected more seriously. And, unfortunately, some of the activists are already criminally liable”.

This week, regular mass searches took place in the homes of Crimean Tatars. Five people were detained. They are currently under arrest in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center.

"And until the case is considered, in fact, they will be in this detention center. That is, the preliminary investigation is still ongoing. Unfortunately, the investigation has now greatly accelerated its pace. If the first groups, they conducted their investigation for about a year, even two, we have cases. The last groups of detainees, last year they also detained Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisarai, in other areas of Crimea, the preliminary investigation lasted only 4 months. And immediately they were sent to Rostov-on-Don and, accordingly, people were forcibly taken out of the Crimea, and they are already on the territory of Russian pre-trial detention centres".

There are now about a hundred political prisoners in Crimea, including nine journalists.
